Turn Up The Volume With Rebel Finnieston's Ania

Turn up the volume!  Rebel Finnieston’s Polish princess Ania chatted to us about how bigger is better and how she never she never stops being creative.

How long have you been working with hair?

About 5 years, I did my training and worked in a well known salon in Krakow which had a similar vibe to Rebel.

What made you move to Rebel Rebel?

I moved for a boy! My boyfriend lived in Glasgow, we dated long distance for a year then I decided to move over.  I met Alan (Master Barber Rebel City) and one of the other guys at a Kevin Murphy show in Poland, I thought they were cool and I really liked the sound of Rebel Rebel, so when I saw they were recruiting for their new shop I contacted them straight away to see if I could meet with them, they must have liked me because I got the job!

What’s your fav style to create?

I LOVE volume, the bigger the better! I like styles with texture and volume, and I also really love creative up-doo’s and braids.

Your must have Kevin Murphy product?

Doo.Over, it will hold a style in place all day but still allow the hair to move

Best and worst celeb hairdo’s ?

Dita Von Teese is my icon, she is so polished from head to toe all the time, she has her look and really commits to it, I love that.  My worst are Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence with short hair, some girls really suit a short edgy cut but I think it looks really out of place on them.

Tell us a fascinating fact about you?

I am a qualified makeup artist! That’s what I did before I got into hairdressing

What do you do to unwind?

I love to paint and draw, and even when I am not working I love doing hair, experimenting and creating new styles. I just love being creative!
